As a Newborn Photographer, Elize Mare Photography sometimes get to travel to a family's home to capture some sweet moments.
Shot on location at the family's home in Jhb South, I loved every minute - from the quiet and reserved eldest son, the bouncing energetic middle son, to Martnitz - the latest edition to the Maré family...
M is for mighty, your inner strength.
A is for altruism, the unselfish you.
R is for realist, the way you are.
N is for natural, the genuine side of you.
I is for ideals, no higher!
T is for treat, that you always are.
Z is for zip, the quickness in your step!

Unexpected Miracle {Maternity}
Jana's Pregnancy announcement came a bit unexpected... and the family had two months to prepare for the little guy who will be arriving within the next week!
Elize Mare Photography and Isma from Beauty and the Brush SA decided on a maternity shoot with a difference.... a bit of Pin-Up and a bit of Glam, and of-course... the two sisters together.
It was a great fun session this morning! and this is just a tiny sneak-peek

Shalane's Bridal Shower {Event Photography}
On Saturday Elize Mare Photography was part of the party at Shalane's Bridal Shower.
As it is tradition, since who knows when, a bride-to-be's bridal shower is to be a surprise event for the Bride. Now this is quite difficult to arrange and keep a secret, when the bride is a photographer - busy schedules and being booked on most days (and weekends) called for the Bridesmaids to become a bit more creative with their thinking caps.... so a (fake) newborn shoot was booked and paid for to try and throw the bride-to-be off the tracks.... it was quite funny how she hinted and questioned everything, but in the end Shalane's bridal shower was kept a secret until she was fetched from home before she could leave for her studio... so well done to all involved.
The venue was a beautiful day spa, and everything was set up in the beautiful white room with loads of light and stunning table decor.
The theme was Denim & white, Lace & Pearls, and everyone was dressed to fit in.
It was a great morning with lots of laughter and a bit of tears, and Shalane was truly spoiled with all the love and gifts.
