Little Snow White {Newborn}

Today Elize Mare Photography got to meet little Zoey-Ann for her Newborn session.

We did mom's maternity session about three months ago and Little Zoey was born in January... a little bit earlier than expected.

At three weeks young she is a real stunner and she had me wrapped around her little pinky in seconds!

Meet Sebastian {Newborn}

Elize Mare Photography had yet another special day today when I met Sebastian for his Newborn photo shoot.

At 22 days young, he is already stubborn and fighting to stay awake instead of sleep.  But we still managed to capture some very special moments... these are some of my favorites.

It such a blessing for me to capture these newborn memories for parents, and I believe it is a great investment in memories!

Our little Companion {Newborn: Kayden}

Elize Mare Photography spent the day with Christine and Arno and their new 'companion', Kayden, at their lovely home for their newborn photography  session.
What an angel child, and his Big Sister is a real mother hen!

Just plain Cute! {Willem}

Newborn photography is such a sweet and special shoot.  Capturing those little tiny features of the newborn... the more sleepy than awake state... I adore these!
Elize Mare Photography was privileged to share in another special shoot with  Yolande and Willem with their newborn Willem jnr.  I'm saying 'another' because earlier this year (in  March) I did their Pregnancy announcement shoot, and from there I visited Yolande every month to capture one image to show the baby bump growth....
For the newborn session, I visited them at home, as it was in the middle of our winter season, and set up in the spare room - with gorgeous natural light coming in through the window.

To post your baby's photo...... or not?

Yesterday I was reading an interesting article that caught my eye. It was based on one of the Photography forums that I am part of.  The reason for my interest in this article, was because of the Newborn Photography aspect. We as photographers use our Newborn images to market our services on our websites, blogs and Facebook albums.  

This article shed some new light on the subject, which I didn't think about at first. 

After reading it though, I'll be sure to think twice about what I'll be posting on my blog and website with regards to Baby photography. 

I would like to share this, as it is not only Photographers that need to pay attention... Parents should take note and be careful what they post online!

As Paul Jacobson, Lawyer says:

 "the reason for that is quite simple; it can be abused. What you do innocently, others take and they abuse it."
