Greek Goddess {Portrait}

After the Studio session Elize Mare Photography had with Helene at #Storyspace, I just HAD to google the meaning of Helene's name... and I couln't agree more:

"Shining light. The bright one."

Helene - you are STUNNING and this is absolutely how I saw you trough my lens!

oh, and by the way... I also read this, and found it to be very accurate:

"People with this name tend to be orderly and dedicated to building their lives on a solid foundation of order and service. They value truth, justice, and discipline, and may be quick-tempered with those who do not. Their practical nature makes them good at managing and saving money, and at building things in the material world. Because of their focus on order and practicality, they may seem overly cautious and conservative at times."

Although these were shot in studio, it was all done with Natural light only!

Cherised Family moments {Family}

A few weeks ago, Elize Mare Photography met up with a Mom who 'found' me on the Mamahood Gauteng page :)
A great family session with the two loves in her life at a stunning venue... I had a hard time selecting just a quick peek for you to see....

Be Who You Really Are {Make Over}

Some time last year Elize Mare Photography received a call from one of our clients requesting a Mini Make Over Gift Voucher for a friend.

As far as I could understand, this friend was going through a very rough patch in life, and she needed to feel pretty again, and so we arranged a mini make over session with make up and a photo shoot.

Esme arrived at EMP Studio with a few outfits, her hair done by herself and make up done by Isma Theron-de Witt from Beauty and the Brush SA - who is my preferred make up artist for all my shoots.

As soon as I met Esme, I could sense that a little bit of confidence was restored with the beautiful make up done by Isma, now it was MY job to get her to feel like a beautiful woman again....
We ended up using a wardrobe put together by Elize Mare Photography and I could see how Esme relaxed and enjoyed her session with me.

Judging from her message I received after she saw her sneak peek, I'm pretty sure we changed her life for the better...

This is what we've done:

To be happy...

November 2013 I presented a talk at a group who regularly meets.
IMAGINE your Passion is a circle of people actively sharing an interest in finding, refining and living the passions of their choice.
My talk was on: A Passion for Photography and as part of the evening I gave a mini-studio session away.
The lucky draw was done and Deborah was the lucky winner.
This is how I saw her through my lens:

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

Danielle, Jaco and the twins have been coming to my studio for quite some time now :)  Its so wonderfull to see how the two boys develop and grow into their own little persons.
November we had another photo session, a Christmas session - have a look:

Happy Birthday Jana!

I met Jana at a function earlier this year... She is a fun, carefree laughing girl - that was my first impression of her, that she is a very young girl.  Walking around, playing with the animals and having an absolute ball on the swings!
She phoned me a couple of weeks after the function and said she's going to treat herself for her birthday with a photo shoot at my studio.
Hair and make up was done and Jana turned from a beautiful young girl into a stunning woman.

When you meet her, you would think she is VERY much younger than her 27 years - I had SO much fun, and it was such a privilege to have taken these images for you, Jana - I hope you enjoy.
ps.  Stay as beautiful as you are - inside and out - always!
love

Elize

Entering the world of blogging

Entering the world of social media can be quite a daunting thing… especially when it comes to perfecting the art of blogging!
I remember how I loathed creative writing at school, but today it seems different. I’m no journalist that’s for sure, but writing about things I love and people I care about is becoming second nature. Sharing special moments through my photography together with a little story… I think it is definitely worthwhile to give it a go!
Let me start off by introducing myself to you.
Elize Mare's photography is not just about Photography.  I love people, and behind the camera I explore the possibilities by I capturing the energy behind the true inspiration – that little something that makes you look twice and capturing that special moment to be Never Forgotten! When my images are enjoyed by others, that special moment can be conveyed to make a lasting impression.
I’ve always loved the idea of photographs, and often played around with my little Kodak camera-friend. What a transition from film to digital!
In late 2008 I graduated to my first SLR camera, and I started part time with my Photography career.
From there I have developed and learnt so much, and I am now proud to say I have my own Photography business…. a full time career.
 The brand “Elize MarĂ© Photography” has been established, covering a wide genre of photographic services like:  Aviation , Motorsport,  Studio and Model photography,  Maternity and Newborn photography,  Wedding photography and Lifestyle photography as well as Birthday parties, events and functions.
    My slogan “Never Forgotten” embodies what I feel my photography is about, as I capture those special moments for my clients.
Some of my work has been published in Newspapers, Magazines and Internet Publications.
